The Aeronautics Division has participated in the design and now produces important parts of the Boeing newest wide boy long range twin jet commercial aircraft. Through a collaboration agreement, Alenia Aerospazio supplies to The Boeing company the outboard flap (with 13.4 meters the largest ever put on a commercial plane) and the radome.

The Aeronautics Division is Program Participant since 1970 to this Boeing wide body commercial jet with design and manufacturing responsability. Work share: flaps, slats, ailerons, spoilers, elevators, rudder, vertical fin, wing tips, radome.

Alenia Aerospazio has further expanded its collaboration with Boeing-Long Beach Division with the design and manufacturing of the entire fuselage of the 100-120 seats Boeing twin jet 717 .

| WMD80/90 Programs | |

Since 1966 Aeronautics Division has produced all the fuselage panels of the twin jet DC9. The participation has been increased for MD80 program, adding the design and manufacturing of the rudder and ailerons in composite materials.The company held the same responsibility in the MD90 program. The program ended with the last shipset delivery (2123 since 1965) in June 1999.
